How Do Ink Jet Cartridges Work?

Non-impact printing, known by the industry as NIP technology or printing without plates, is becoming a dominant method of printing, thanks to the advent of ink jet printing and ink jet cartridges. Because of the global proliferation of home and office desk and portable computers, office and home copiers, fax machines, laser printers, and ink jet printers, almost everyone uses - and therefore is a potential customer for - ink jet cartridges.
NIP accepts electronic guidance and then without the impact normally associated with - for example - a typewriter where the key hits or impacts a strip of ink and the ink gets knocked against the paper, prints by instead shooting jets of ink to the paper in a specific pattern guided electronically. This impact fee printing uses electrostatic, dielectric inkjet, thermal transfer or magnetic printing technologies to put an image to paper and then keep it there in a permanent inked-in fashion. For this to happen smoothly, the ink jet cartridges must be highly engineered for speed and accuracy.
Inkjet technology, and the manufacture of ink jet cartridges and other components of an ink jet delivery system, is the fast growing segment in the NIP sector, world wide. An electrical pulse forces the printer to eject an ink emmission, in drops or droplets, and the type of ink used for this purpose has the same general nature as other inks, but must have, in addition, some high tech and special characteristics that will allow a small particle of ink to pass through the fine nozzle but without being runny, rather having very low viscosity.
But of course when we buy our ink jet cartridges, we are more concerned about price. But price alone doesn't get the job done, so shop for quality too, because once you get home and install the cartridge, the quality of the flow and speed of delivery will be the thing that looms important to you.
